Chai Tea

My friend Laurelin doesn't drink caffeine; thus, no black tea; thus, no chai tea. I found a recipe online for a tealess chai. It was ok. Actually, it was more flavorful than a lot of chai teas I've tried.

Food with Christina

I had Christina over for dinner the other night. We had a stir-fryishkie thing with tofu. I burn the first batch of tofu, so that's what that black stuff is. Actually, I think what happened is that I use so much olive oil in my cooking that it burns to the bottom of the pan, and I don't scrub it off, so it builds up. I don't think it's gross, or I didn't. I thought it was good flavor, but I guess not. I've been soaking the pan ever since.

Cleaning out the Fridge... Again... but Also Dinner

I really haven't cooked good food in about a week, so some of my veggies were going bad. As a result, some of them got thrown out while I made dinner for Melissa and myself. We ended up having some kind of butternut squash/potato/brocolli/onion mush that was pretty good and an omlet. Well, we called it that. It was actually more like scrambled eggs with lots of veggies. Whatever. I'm picky about eggs, and I liked it. I don't care what you call it.

Cleaning out the fridge

I was cleaning out the fridge and noticed how pretty it looked, so I grabbed the rice (which I thought was old) and threw it in, only to have Courtney ask, "Why did you throw my rice out? I just made it yesterday." Poor Courtney. The eggshells are left over from some zucchini bread she made.

Get Your Lebon-on!

To celebrate our Lebanese heritage and share some of the culture with our friends, my roommate/cousin and I had a Lebanese party where we served (what else?) Lebanese food. These are the remains of veggies used for taboli, cucumber-yogurt dip, and hummus.
